The Safety Division communicates the importance of safety and health values and principles with ongoing safety training and education.

One important goal is to ensure all new employees pass through an initial safety orientation. The Safety Manager works with all City divisions to ensure safe working practices and procedures.

A Safety Incentive Program is offered to recognize those employees who choose to follow the safety culture.

If a City employee is involved in an incident (bodily injury and/or property damage), their supervisor and the Safety Manager must be contacted immediately so they may properly analyze the incident.
