Vehicle Maintenance (Fleet)

Jim Williamson, Fleet Manager

The Vehicle Maintenance Division maintains the City of Gillette's fleet. This fleet includes 217 vehicles and over 475 pieces of small equipment, representing a total replacement value of over $32.25 million.

Fleet maintenance records have been fully computerized since April 1987. This includes tracking preventative maintenance scheduling, maintenance scheduling, work order history, billing history, and live-vehicle cost.

This division administers the Vehicle & Equipment Depreciation Replacement Fund that enables routine and systematic replacement of the fleet. Vehicle Maintenance staff also develop technical bid specification, which enables the acquisition of appropriate vehicles and equipment.
