Departments

The City Administrator is responsible for the overall administration of the City. This responsibility includes implementation of the general policies set by the City Council in addition to day-to-day oversight of all City operations.

The City Attorney represents the City in Municipal, State, and Federal Courts, and State and Federal Administrative Agencies.

Development Services is comprised of the Building Inspection Division, the Planning Division, the Code Compliance Division, the Engineering Division, and the Traffic Safety Division.

The Finance Department oversees Grants, Customer Service, Information Technology, as well as the Purchasing & Warehouse Divisions.

The Public Affairs Department is comprised of the City's Director of Public Affairs, who is responsible for press releases, media and communication with the public, City Clerks, Municipal Court and Gillette Public Access Television.

The Public Works Administration provides leadership and management to the Public Works Department, which consists of Five divisions: Parks Division (including Forestry), Facilities Maintenance, Streets Division, Solid Waste and Vehicle Maintenance Division.

The Utilities Department includes the following divisions: Utilities Administration, Wastewater, Water, Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Services.
