The Parks and Beautification Board is a seven-member citizen advisory board committed to the timely development of Gillette’s parks and open spaces. The Board’s primary objective lies in previewing development plans and making recommendations concerning parkland acceptance. The Board also pursues an ongoing beautification program, sets policies for 1% tax spending for park improvement projects, and updates policies and ordinances related to community landscaping, forestry, beautification and administers the Landscape Incentive Grant Program, Landscape Beautification Award, Parks Photo Contest, and Trash-a-thon Spring Cleanup.

By fostering community engagement through innovative practices and responsible stewardship, we strive to create vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive outdoor spaces for all to enjoy.
The board meets the second Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. at City West.
