Billy Montgomery

Council Member Billy Montgomery was appointed to represent Ward Two on the City Council in 2015. He was elected to a full terms in 2016 and 2020.

Councilman Montgomery served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971, including a tour in Viet Nam as Field Artillery with the 101st Airborne Division. He moved to Gillette in 1977 to work with BNSF Railroad. He retired from the railroad in 2011 with 34 years of service. He met his wife, Toby, in 1978 and they were married in 1981. They have three daughters and one grand daughter with two furry kids.
